Mom! Wake up! I'm hungry!!!
Two of the owlets are gone now, nowhere to be found. The third owlet was always behind, the last one to be fed and seemingly given the least amount of food. Now it's about two, maybe three weeks behind in it's growth/maturity, and not quite able to leave the nest. Mom is taking care of him/her though; feeding it, helping it learn to hunt, and staying by its side. In the second picture the owlet has it's mouth wide open: yawning? hungry? vocalizing? We can only guess...
