We have an owlet!
This morning was the first time I've seen an owlet this year, and it's always a very exciting occasion. The owlet was very active this morning, preening itself and very active in the nest. Several times he/she moved in such a way that it's feathers were above the nest. It appears by the colors that the flight feathers are very developed. The owlet won't be around for long now, maybe two more weeks. I'm hoping I can catch the owls in flight, something I haven't been able to do yet. The father owl was in almost perfect light this morning so I've included a picture of him to.
