A brand new bird for me, and a solid picture of it

I know, I know, I keep talking about the weather but this morning it was 54 degrees! The sun didn't break through the clouds this morning on time so waiting in the car in the parking lot listening to some tunes was how today started. Eventually the sun rose above the clouds and the open space started to light up. The birds seemed to have other ideas though, like sleeping in, so finding birds was harder for some reason. The walk was nice, not a lot of people, and very quiet for the most part. There were quite a few small birds singing away but finding them was another matter. Finally, I found the bird below singing away and sitting still for the most part. This is northern waterthrush, a bird I've never heard of, a bird I've never seen or photographed before. Normally I end my walk when I get close to the Alameda bridge, but the geese were making a huge racket under the bridge, so I continued under the bridge and out the other side to see what was going on.
