Do the vultures know something I don't?
Every once in a while I get this eerie feeling, especially when vultures are seemingly following me everywhere I go. Walking in the open space lately there have been three vultures that have been circling me every time I go out, and sometimes at least one of them comes pretty close. Right now I'm spending all my birding time in a different spot though: Corrales. And who do you think followed me? A vulture of course. I was done with the 'owlet watch' for the morning and was headed back towards the car. A huge bird took off from a tree to my left. I couldn't see it at first and was dissappointed, but as I walked futher on, there the vulture was atop a tree. The first time I heard about the owls' nest a friend had told me how to find it, sort of. I'm not always on my "A" game and I walked to where the nest was.
